Bruegger’s was established in 1983 by Nord Brue and Mike Dressell. The store is known for introducing their New York-style bagels to different locations in the country. Their bagel recipe has been developed in two and a half years by the two founders with the help of a professional bagel baker from New York City. When they first introduced bagel to a city outside New York that time, less than 1/3 of America’s total population has tasted a bagel.

Over the years, their bagel bakery has grown into a place where one can enjoy breakfast and lunch. Aside from bagels, they also serve freshly baked bread, breakfast sandwiches, salads, soups, desserts and custom-roasted coffee. For the year 2014, Bruegger’s offers membership to their Bottomless Mug Club where, for a one-time purchase of the 2014 Bottomless Mug, customers can have refills of coffee, tea or softdrinks for the rest of the year. This allows frequent coffee drinkers to save themselves hundreds of dollars every year for coffee.

At present, Bruegger’s has 300 locations throughout the United States and Canada. In their continuous effort to expand their services, Bruegger’s also offers their catering services wherein they serve a selection of bagels, muffins, coffee and sandwiches for office meetings and gatherings.
